Terms of sale and use
Version 2026-10b, effective 16/10/2026.
0. Who we are
Shortvu is provided by Marc Llonch, tax ID 48197341N, C/ Llonch, 11, 08201, Sabadell. Phone: 689209422. Email: soporte@shortvu.com. See the legal notice.
1. The service
Shortvu is a digital service that makes short vertical videos from your instructions. An AI model writes the script, which you can edit, and then a synthetic voiceover, captions and visuals are added: Pexels stock footage or AI-generated images, as you choose. You download an MP4 (H.264/AAC, 1080×1920) with a PNG thumbnail, title, description, hashtags and SRT captions.
You need an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge) and an internet connection. The files play on any device or platform that supports MP4.
2. Account
You must be 18 or older and provide a valid email. Trial credits are added once you verify your email, once per mailbox (aliases like name+tag@ count as the same mailbox). You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account.
3. How to buy
- In Plan & credits, pick a plan (monthly or yearly) or a credit pack.
- Tick the box asking for the service to start right away (see section 5).
- On Stripe's payment page, review the summary and final price. You can go back or correct your details before you press the pay button.
- Once you pay, the contract is concluded and we email you a confirmation, the order summary and these terms attached.
We keep a copy of the contract: the version of these terms and your order details. Your invoices are under "Manage subscription and invoices". You can contract in English or Spanish.
4. Prices, credits, renewal and cancellation
- Prices: in euros. For consumers they include VAT. EU businesses with a valid VAT number pay without VAT, because the reverse charge applies.
- Credits: 1 credit makes 1 video of up to 60 seconds (or your plan's maximum length, if shorter), with up to 3 script rewrites and 2 renders. Videos over 60 seconds and videos with AI visuals in every scene cost 2 credits; the button tells you before you confirm. Each credit has its own price: the pack price divided by its credits, or the plan price divided by the period's credits. We show it next to every plan and pack, and it's the basis for the withdrawal calculation (section 5). If the script can't be written for a technical reason on our side, or our filter blocks a script our model wrote, the credit is refunded automatically, up to 5 credits a day per account (3 for scripts blocked by the filter). If the script is already written and the render fails, the video goes back to the draft and that render doesn't count, so you can redo it at no cost (up to 3 failed attempts per video). Above those limits, write to support and a person reviews it: if the failure is ours, we refund it anyway.
- Plans: monthly plans renew automatically every month and yearly plans every year, at the current price, until you cancel. Plan credits reset at each renewal and don't roll over. On the yearly plan you get all 12 months of credits upfront, valid until the end of the paid year. Pack credits don't expire while you have an account.
- Renewal reminder: we email you before each renewal (at least 30 days before on yearly plans and 15 on monthly plans), with the cancellation deadline and what happens if you don't cancel.
- Cancellation: use the "Cancel subscription" button in Plan & credits, any time and with no penalty. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep your credits until then.
- Plan changes: upgrading to a higher plan with the same billing interval takes effect immediately: Stripe charges the pro-rata difference until your next renewal and you get the extra credits in the same proportion. Your plan and credits change once the payment goes through; if it doesn't, nothing changes. Downgrading, or switching between monthly and yearly, takes effect at renewal: until then you keep your plan and credits, and the renewal charges the new price, with no credit for unused time. You can cancel a scheduled change in Plan & credits.
- Payment disputes: if you ask your bank to reverse a payment, we remove the credits you have left from that purchase (not from other purchases), the account can't make new videos while the dispute is open and, if it's a subscription, it's cancelled at the end of the paid period so we don't keep charging you for something you're disputing. If you withdraw the dispute or it's resolved in our favour, we lift the hold and restore those credits; if your bank refunds you, the purchase counts as refunded. Please write to us first: it's almost always solved faster, to the same payment method.
- Invitations: with your invite link, when the person you invite makes a purchase of €15 or more and their 14-day withdrawal period passes without them withdrawing or disputing the payment, you each get 5 credits (once per invited person). Inviting yourself with another account doesn't count.
- Price changes: announced at least 30 days in advance and only from the next renewal. You can cancel before then at no cost.
5. Right of withdrawal
If you're a consumer, you have 14 days from the conclusion of each contract to withdraw without giving a reason. A contract means starting a subscription, upgrading to a higher plan or buying a pack. Use the "Withdraw from contract here" function, which is in the footer of every page and in Plan & credits, or email us the model form.
The period ends at the end of the 14th calendar day (Madrid time). When you buy, you expressly ask for the service to start during the withdrawal period. So if you withdraw, you pay for the share of the service already provided and we refund the rest. That share is based on the price you paid and is the higher of two fractions: the credits from that purchase you've used divided by the credits it included, or the days elapsed divided by the days in the period. We refund within 14 days, to the same payment method, and remove any credits left from that purchase. You lose the right of withdrawal once you've used all the credits from that purchase, because the service has then been fully performed.
Business customers have no right of withdrawal.
Model withdrawal form (only if you want to use it; any clear statement is valid):
To Marc Llonch, C/ Llonch, 11, 08201, Sabadell, soporte@shortvu.com:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the Shortvu service (plan or pack: ___).
Ordered on: ___ . Name: ___ . Address: ___ . Account email: ___ .
Signature (only if sent on paper): ___ . Date: ___ .
6. AI-generated content
- Scripts, voice and editing are produced by an AI system. Models make mistakes: check any fact or claim before you publish it.
- Every video carries a machine-readable marking showing it's AI-generated: a manifest signed under the C2PA standard, file metadata and, where available, an imperceptible audio watermark, as required by Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689. By default it also shows a visible "AI" label. Don't try to remove or tamper with the marking. Anyone can check it for free at https://shortvu.com/verify.
- When you publish, you're responsible for following the platform's rules and the law. On YouTube, mark the video as "altered or synthetic content" when asked; on TikTok and Instagram, as "AI-generated". Don't present the voice as a real person's or the video as real footage of specific people or events. If you do, or if the video could appear authentic, you must visibly disclose that it's AI-generated (Art. 50(4) of the same Regulation).
- We don't guarantee views, revenue, or acceptance into any platform's monetization program. YouTube doesn't pay for mass-produced or repetitive content.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to create content that is:
- illegal or incites crime;
- hateful, harassing, violent or about self-harm;
- sexually explicit, or sexual in any way involving minors;
- misinformation, especially about health, elections, disasters or finance;
- impersonating real people or attributing false statements or acts to them;
- political or election advertising, meaning it promotes parties, candidates or elected officials;
- infringing copyright, trademarks, or other people's image or privacy rights;
- spam or platform manipulation (account networks, automated mass posting).
Don't try to bypass moderation, resell or automate access, or use the service from countries where our providers don't allow it or that are under international sanctions. These rules include our providers' usage policies: Anthropic's Usage Policy, OpenAI's Usage Policies and the Pexels License.
8. Content moderation
- What we check: before anything is generated, the text you write (topic, niche, edits) and the scripts the model writes go through an automated OpenAI classifier that detects hate, harassment, violence, sexual content, self-harm and illegal activity, and through an election-campaign filter.
- What we decide: if text is flagged, the video isn't generated and we tell you why. If we receive a valid notice or find a breach, we may remove a video and, in serious or repeated cases, suspend or close the account. Each decision comes with written reasons: what is restricted, why, on what grounds, and whether it was made by automated means.
- Review and appeal: you can ask for any decision to be reviewed by a person by emailing soporte@shortvu.com within 6 months. We reply within 15 days at most. You can also go to court.
- Third-party notices: anyone can report content they believe is illegal through the notice form. Contacts for authorities are in the legal notice.
9. Intellectual property and licenses
- What you write stays yours. You allow us to use it only to provide the service.
- We assign to you whatever rights we have in the videos, scripts and thumbnails you generate, and you may use them commercially. Note that AI-generated content may not be protected by copyright.
- Footage comes from Pexels and stays under its license. You may not:
- distribute or sell clips on their own;
- use identifiable people in an offensive, defamatory, immoral or illegal way;
- use clips in a political context (promoting parties, candidates or elected officials);
- use visible brands in connection with goods or services;
- imply that a person or brand endorses you;
- use clips as part of a trademark or trade name.
- You confirm your texts don't infringe anyone's rights. Synthetic voices don't imitate real people.
10. Conformity and liability
- If you're a consumer, you have the statutory conformity rights for digital content and services. If a video isn't generated, arrives damaged, or doesn't match what you bought because of something on our side, we'll redo it or refund the credit. If we can't, you may ask for a price reduction or end the contract.
- We're liable without limit for damage caused by intent or gross negligence and for personal injury. Otherwise, for business customers, our liability is capped at what you paid us in the previous 12 months. For consumers, liability is as set by law.
- We're not responsible for how you use the videos or for third-party platforms' decisions.
11. Term and termination
The contract lasts while you have an account or, for subscriptions, until you cancel. You can delete your account any time from Account. We may end the contract for a serious breach of these terms, with prior notice except in urgent cases. If we end it for a reason that isn't your fault, we refund the unused part.
We keep each video's files for the retention period of the plan you had when you made it (7 to 90 days; it's shown on each video), even if you later cancel or downgrade. Download them before then: afterwards they're deleted and the script stays, so you can render it again.
12. Changes to the service or these terms
We only change the service or these terms for valid reasons: legal changes, changes by our providers, security or improvements. We'll email you at least 30 days in advance. If a change is to your detriment, you may end the contract at no cost within 30 days of the notice, and we'll refund the unused part.
13. Governing law and complaints
Spanish law applies, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence. Consumers may bring claims in the courts where they live. Official complaint forms are available; see the legal notice for customer service and dispute resolution. To complain, use Support and complaints: you'll get a reference number and a receipt.
